Saving Energy with Solar Panels

Solar panels are the future for sustainability. using these panels can save you money on electricity and energy for your house or apartment. Using light and wind can also power other things to help save energy.
Even though they can be a bit pricy, they will pay for themselves in a few months after using them.  Many people are switching to using solar power panels because it saves so much but also helps save energy. Saving the planet is a very important thing that everyone needs to consider because if we don't all help, the earth won't last for very long.
You can use solar panels on homes, businesses, commercial places, hospitals and other places that use mass amounts of energy.

Outskirts of Nairobi

After learning about Tiny Homes, I went back to the ideas from the slums I witnessed when I was in Nairobi, Kenya. The government doesn't pay attention to it and from what Ive heard, you don't name your child until they are around four years old. What amazes me is that we take so much for granted but the people living in these slums, can survive of no water and food. They have lived like this for so long and are starting to figure out ways of sustaining. The images I was able to take weren't that great so i went online to find the images that were close to what I shot.
Kibera is the largest slum in Nairobi. In 2009,  it was considered the largest urban slum in Africa! Kibera's population is around 170,070 after other estimates around one or two million people. Most residents living in the slums live in extreme poverty and make under less than $1.00 a day. People have no idea that this is going on here in Nairobi.
People only listen to whats going on in "Africa."

Tiny Houses

I have been doing a ton of research on Tiny Houses and the whole idea of living on off the grid and doing everything the easy way. Growing your own food, using 80% less energy than I would normally use and to save money and the planet all at once. If you have a Netflix account, it is definitely a great documentary and wonderful way of learning about something that might help save the planet.

If you are even more interested in the whole Tiny Home idea, I have also attached the website for Tumbleweed Company which makes tiny homes for sale.

This might sound like a crazy idea and many people think people doing this are not thinking straight that and its impossible to live like this, well people are wrong. You can tell that it is just another way of living off the grid.

EBOLA!!!!!!!!

I wanted to screen shot some of the article I was reading on Ebola in the U.S.  I find it so insane that people are actually being quarentined because you only really see it in the movies. This is a serious problem that needs to be handled because its such a dangerous problem that is sweeping across the globe. We better catch it fast before it is too late!!

Building the new Sarasota Mall

Building the new Sarasota Mall early on

Saving Our Soil

I have been documenting along highways and just construction in general to show how we are pulling up soil to create roads hotels, condos and malls all around florida. In sarasota, they started building a huge mall so I wanted to document all of the things that happened along the way while building it. This journal entry is to sum up what I am photographing. Each image in itself shows some way of how we are destroying our planet by building new things all the time.
