We all know what happened to Manhattan and other parts of New York and New Jersey from hurricane Sandy. What blows my mind is the fact that the city of Manhattan is wasting 335$ Million to build a seawall around Manhattan.
"WE HAVE TO PREPARE FOR THE NEXT STORM AND NOT SIMPLY RESPOND TO THE PAST STORM."
Why is Manhattan spending 335 Million on something that is pointless. What happens when the water gets in to the city but can't get out? What will people do then? Just drown?
There is a huge problem with the homeless in New York and what did the city do? They put them all underground. Now, they want to spend $335 million just to make sure water doesn't get in if there is another hurricane? This is a crazy stupid plan that needs to be changed.
Water moves on its own at its own pace and we have to take that in and use that. They think by using elevated surfaces and using trees and other plats to also make the environment more social friendly.

The future of the Big Game of Africa
The Maasai tribe has land in both parts of Kenya and Tanzania. Just like what we kind of did to the native americas, The Dubai Royal Family, wants to buy the land from the Maasai tribe and use the land for their own private hunting grounds for big game animals.
The Maasai are trying to fight back with
peace by not taking their money but soon I feel like they will be pushed off their land for good.

Massai Needs help
The Maasai are a tribe of people in Kenya and Tanzania. They use natural resources like bark from trees to brush their teeth and keep the land the way it is so people don't try to change it and build huge buildings.
Their people still do many rituals that people would find shocking and mind blowing. In the tribe, the men line up and each one jumps. The highest one to jump gets the most attractive woman in the village and so on and so forth.
There are many problems with poachers that are coming onto their land and kill big game for trophies. Its truly horrible and needs to be put to an end because lions and other animals are going extinct. Our kids generations will never know what a lion looks like because of these animal killing terrorists. They think that because they are killing an expensive dangerous animal, that it is okay. Well thats not right and people aren't seeing the big picture.
Selling horns and tusks on the black market is a huge industry and people need to know how big of a market it really is.

My trip to Africa
After hearing Tim talk about everything going on in Africa with Ebola and other things involving the environment, I really wanted to look back at my photographs from Africa and re edit them and submit them for everyone to see what i witnessed. I saw kids who had flies eating at their faces and women walking miles to find enough water for their families.
In the United States, we don't think about how difficult it is to get water because all we need to do is turn on a tap… We don't have to walk miles to get food, water and even get to school or work. We know about over populated places but what I was able to witness and smell made me want to help people in other countries for the rest of my life. It changed the way I see many things that go on now a days and really made me more grateful for what I have and how lucky we are for being able to be in this country.
